New Orleans Food and Farm Network
Working with neighbors to bring good food closer to home.

The New Orleans Food & Farm Network believes everyone should have access to fresh, healthy, and sustainably produced food for the long-term health of our environment, economy, and communities. We work with individuals, organizations, growers and communities to help make fresh, healthy food more accessible to everyone. We do this by:

Okra
  • Celebrating and supporting "what's right" in our local food system

  • Bringing people together to identify gaps in access to fresh foods

  • Creating, with our partners, neighborhood and city-wide food projects that fill those gaps for all members of the community

Find out more about how we work through:

  • Advocacy & Networking
  • Building Good Food Neighborhoods

Learn techniques for better gardening and farming outcomes!

The New Orleans Food & Farm Network is offering a way for locals to learn how to garden and farm by offering a series of workshops and seminars called "Farm Yard Trainings". The trainings are held at urban farms and gardens all over the city. These workshops and sessions offer an opportunity for novice and seasoned growers alike to learn tried and tested organic horticultural techniques, marketing tips, and equipment maintenance and safe practices from knowledgeable and experienced instructors.

Free Seeds

Veggie, herb, and flower seeds are available to our fellow growers at no charge, compliments of Food & Farm Network and Parkway Partners Community Gardens guy, Macon Fry.

We have a copious amount available, both winter and spring seeds, and invite you to come to our offices and load up with kale, lettuce, squash, flowers, herbs, and … the list is too long to print here!

Our office is at 4630 Rear Entrance South Carrollton Avenue, New Orleans, LA 70119. Since we work in the field quite a bit (as opposed to “the fields”), you may want to call to make sure we will be here: 504-864-2009.

The winter is our finest growing season in New Orleans. What are you waiting for?
