TCCC Beds Volunteer |
The New Orleans Food and Farm Network is working to rebuild the Gardens in Hollygrove. The Trinity Christian Community Center (TCCC) was a hub of community aid before Hurricane Katrina, and it has been a busy spot since. TCCC has been a help to returning residents of the Hollygrove neighborhood in providing information and aid. Unfortunately, the center and grounds took on floodwaters and have needed rebuilding and renovation. The New Orleans Food & Farm Network had installed several organic and sustainable garden beds that were used by the centers after school program and Farm Yard Project members (see more info at www.noffn.org ) before the storm. Now they are being remediated and replanted, along with citrus trees to serve the Hollygrove Community for the future. |
