New Orleans Food and Farm, Inc.

Take our survey!

New Orleans has a rich history of citizens growing food to sell. Today, local growers continue to provide produce and other products for farmers markets, truck vendors, restaurant chefs, and neighbors citywide. New Orleans Food & Farm Network (NOFFN) works to keep this important heritage alive by creating local connections to healthy food and encouraging more New Orleanians to grow food within the city.

The New Orleans urban agriculture scene has become a momentous movement. NOFFN has been circulating their team of organizers neighborhood-by-neighborhood to inspire a wide range of citizens, create access to more fresh local food, and build a base for this new dynamism.

Thalweg Studio and NOFFN are collaborating with other urban agriculture advocacy groups throughout the city to create the Growing Back to Our Roots Directory, a comprehensive directory of local growers/vendors plus a series of maps that will illustrate the content and character of the city's growing urban agriculture network. Eventually, this Directory will be available on our website and as a publication.

The Growing Back to Our Roots Directory will be used to strengthen our community of urban growers. The most important result will be improving channels of communication within the gardening community and opening the network to other citizens who are interested in joining the movement.

Now we need YOU, as a local grower and gardener, to do your part by filling out this free, short, and easy survey so you can be included in this directory. We hope you will become an integral part of this project. By participating, you will also be eligible for great garden-related raffle prizes. Survey after the jump. Ready to participate?
