Greetings!
This year will mark 10 years that NOFFN has been the New Orleans region’s strongest proponent of food justice through advocacy, education, and outreach coupled with action. Through our neighborhood-based work, we focus on three major areas of work: the development of a resource base for a local food system; organizing, education, and training; and the incubation of food and farm projects.
We have helped create viable alternatives using multiple models and strategies.
Alternatives that not only provide food, but help strengthen neighborhood economies, provide employment and entrepreneurial opportunities for residents and offer innovative ways to utilize vacant space.
NOFFN needs your help to set a firm foundation for the next 10 years.
We intend to continue to incubate neighborhood-led projects and the regional food economy by working at all scales, from backyards, to city lots, to a network of commercial farms, with the goal of achieving food justice.
If you understand NOFFN’s important role in providing a better future, you can support us right now. See below.
